Background
The A32x series is a family of narrow-body airliners developed and produced by Airbus. American Airlines is the largest operator of the A32x. The A32x was launched in Mar. 1984, made its first flight on Feb. 22, 1987, and entered service in April 1988 with Air France. This series of aircraft was the first to introduce digital fly-by-wire controls and sidestick flight control systems in commercial airliners.
